Walk Centre and South

Walk Centre and South is the best way to get to know Rotterdam in a day. The tour combines most of the highlights of Walk Centre and Walk South and includes an exciting boat ride with the Watertaxi. The guides are local architects.
From the newly built Central Station, we will lead you through the city, following architectural iconic sites like the post-war modernist shopping area the Lijnbaan, Timmerhuis – designed by the world-famous architects of OMA, St.Laurens Church, the most unique and fancy indoor market in Europe – the Markthal and of course the Cube Houses.
On the riverside we will board the speedboat of the Watertaxi for a 2 min joyride to the South Bank, passing under the city landmark – the Erasmus bridge. Your guide will introduce you to the history and the future plans the former harbour area that’s now a must see flourishing semi-island with high-end architecture and some of the best cafes and restaurants in the city. The tour introduces the Rotterdam building of OMA, the historic Hotel New York, the Fenixloods and the Fenix Food factory.
