Learn about the history and architecture of Rotterdam while photographing the city's buildings and public spaces. Led by architects, the tour encourages participants to see the city through an architectural perspective and to capture the stories behind the facades. Attention is given both to landmark structures and to the way everyday urban spaces shape the city's identity.
The route introduces Rotterdam through a sequence of well-known highlights and less familiar photogenic spots. Starting at Central Station, we pass Theater Square, the colorful area around the Luchtsingel and Timmerhuis, and continue to the Laurenskerk. The walk then leads into the Markthal, where food, architecture, and art come together under its striking arch. The tour concludes at the square among the iconic Cube Houses, one of the city's most distinctive ensembles.
PhotoWalk is open to all levels of photography, whether using a personal camera or smartphone. It is designed for individuals as well as groups, and works equally well as a team event, family activity, or shared experience with friends. The walk combines architectural insight with time to frame and capture the city in images.
